After a string of three wins, Tampa Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Badin Rams by a score of 4-3.

Tampa Catholic got a good showing from Talan Miranda, who tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Miranda has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cal Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Tampa Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Badin, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
