Preview: Olean Huskies vs. Fredonia Hillbillies
The Olean Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Fredonia Hillbillies at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Olean comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Thursday, Olean had to suffer through a rough 81-26 loss at the hands of Southwestern. Olean was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-10.
Meanwhile, Fredonia came up short against Salamanca on Thursday and fell 46-37. While losing is never fun, Fredonia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Salamanca is ranked 166th).
Olean dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Fredonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
Olean took a serious blow against Fredonia in their previous matchup back in January, falling 71-36. Can Olean avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
