Daniel Boone has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Watauga Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Daniel Boone earned a 50-39 win over Sullivan East.
Kyleigh Bacon was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Jenkins, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Watauga was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Avery County 48-19 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Watauga.
Among those leading the charge was Julie Matheson, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. Laney Shook was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
Daniel Boone's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Watauga, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Daniel Boone have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23.8 rebounds per game.
