Softball Recap: West Bloomfield Wins Going Away Against Ferndale

West Bloomfield got themselves on the board against Ferndale on Tuesday, but Ferndale never followed suit. They blew past the Eagles 17-0. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

CHARLIE BOWER made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. BOWER was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three runs.

In other batting news, MORGAN CHRISTIAN was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. ADDY MORRIS was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

West Bloomfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ferndale only managed one hit.

West Bloomfield pushed their record up to 7-21 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Ferndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

West Bloomfield will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
