Bob Hope waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Humble Christian Cougars by a score of 32-25. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 38-37 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Humble Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mia Umanzor posted seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Those four steals gave Umanzor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Robyn Miller, who earned three points.

Bob Hope has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.6 points per game. As for Humble Christian, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Bob Hope won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tekoa Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bob Hope's defense has only allowed 25.4 points per game this season, so Tekoa Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Humble Christian, they will take on Banff at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Humble Christian is facing Banff at the right time seeing as Banff is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
