Soccer Game Preview: Campbell County vs. Union County

The Campbell County Cougars will take on the Union County Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Campbell County took on Oak Ridge on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 8-1 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Union County came up short against Cherokee on Thursday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, Union County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Cherokee are ranked 74th).

Brody Williams wasn't going to let Cherokee walk away unscathed as he scored both of Union County's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Campbell County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1.

Campbell County took their win against Union County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
