Football Game Preview: Donna North Chiefs vs. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines

Donna North is 0-3 against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial since September of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Chiefs will square off against the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m.

Donna North fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Donna on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redskins.

Donna North might have lost, but man, Prince Johnson was a machine: he rushed for 229 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Johnson's longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards. Julio Aldaco also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, as they earned their first away win of the season. They took down Rivera 20-6 on Friday. The Wolverines' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

A big part of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial's victory came down to the chemistry between Nolan Ramirez and his top target Matthew Garza. Ramirez threw for 148 yards and one TD on only 12 passes while Garza gained 127 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Ramirez racked up 129.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial also got a significant boost from Miguel Olvera, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Donna North's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Donna North might still be hurting after the 42-21 defeat they got from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Chiefs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
