Basketball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cherokee Chiefs. While losing is never fun, the Silver Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Chiefs are ranked 100th).

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Cherokee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

Sterling has already played their next matchup, a 59-55 loss against Woodbury on the 2nd. As for Cherokee, they will take on Pleasantville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
