Volleyball Recap: Myrtle Beach Comes Up Short

Myrtle Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Florence Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 4th.

Myrtle Beach started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 28-17, 25-23, 25-20.

Myrtle Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for West Florence, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Coincidentally, Myrtle Beach and West Florence will both be playing Conway the next time they take the court. The Seahawks will head out to face the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
