Denbigh Baptist Christian won the last time they faced The New Community School and things went their way on Saturday too. The Minutemen came out on top against the Sabers by a score of 2-0.

Julia Kinney paced Denbigh Baptist Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Kinney got some help from Julia Helmsderfer and her eight assists. Kinney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Denbigh Baptist Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for The New Community School, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denbigh Baptist Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on StoneBridge at 6:30 p.m. on September 2. As for The New Community School, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against The Carmel School at 5:15 p.m.
