Softball Recap: Jacobs Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crystal Lake South on Thursday, Jacobs came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles lost 9-1 to the Prairie Ridge Wolves on Monday. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Molly Hoch was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

Jacobs' loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Prairie Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-1-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jacobs will face off against Larkin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie Ridge, they will challenge Crystal Lake South at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves are facing the Gators at the right time seeing as the Gators are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
