Volleyball Recap: Canyon del Oro Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tucson High Magnet School on Thursday, Canyon del Oro came back down to earth. The Dorados took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaparral Firebirds on Friday. The Dorados were not able to make up for their loss to the Firebirds from their previous meeting back in October of 2022.

Ansley Snyder paced Canyon del Oro's offense, picking up six kills. Snyder got some help from Lila Schladweiler and her 11 assists.

Canyon del Oro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chaparral, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Canyon del Oro and Chaparral will both be playing Basha the next time they take the court. The Firebirds will head out to face the Bears at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Dorados will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
