First Baptist Christian came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Kingsway Christian Eagles by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Sabres, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

First Baptist Christian easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-10.

Kate Burman paced First Baptist Christian's offense, picking up five kills. Burman got some help from Joanna Wacker and her 12 assists. Kara Gravley and Brynn White kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

First Baptist Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-1.

First Baptist Christian has already played their next contest (against High Point Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Kingsway Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Gospel Haven Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
