Soccer Recap: Chambers Comes Up Short + How To Watch

There was early excitement for Chambers after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Independence Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Independence this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in September.

Chambers is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5-3. As for Independence, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Chambers and Independence should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 152nd) will meet Rocky River (ranked 454th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Independence will square off against Mallard Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (87 vs. 351).
