Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale lost against Darlington back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chieftains fell just short of the Redbirds by a score of 2-1.

Emily Goplin paced Riverdale's offense, picking up seven kills. Goplin got some help from Abby Tisdale and her nine assists. Allie Goplin controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Riverdale has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season. As for Darlington, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Riverdale will challenge rival Mineral Point at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Darlington is set to square off against their familiar foe Iowa-Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
