Tri-Village strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Preble Shawnee Arrows an 18-0 shutout. Considering the Patriots have won 12 matchups by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Tri-Village got a great performance from Elizabeth Poling as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Poling has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Greer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Burk, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Tri-Village was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in eight consecutive games.

Tri-Village's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Preble Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Coming up, Tri-Village will head out to challenge Twin Valley South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Preble Shawnee, they have already played their next contest, a 13-2 defeat against Mississinawa Valley on the 10th.
