Soccer Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

After flying high against Potomac Falls on Tuesday, Riverside came back down to earth. The Ram fell just short of the Briar Woods Falcons by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Briar Woods this season, with their most recent defeat being a 1-0 loss on May 1st.

Riverside's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6-3. As for Briar Woods, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-2 record this season.

Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Briar Woods, they are taking a road trip to face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Briar Woods surely won't give up without a fight.
