Volleyball Recap: New Richmond Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

New Richmond came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Rice Lake Warriors by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

While New Richmond might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Rice Lake scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20.

Ashlyn Schulze paced New Richmond's offense, picking up eight kills. Schulze got some help from Maddie Komro and her 12 assists. Schulze was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

New Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Rice Lake, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 19-6 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. New Richmond will take on rival Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rice Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe River Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
