Basketball Recap: Union Takes a Loss

Union was the 52-45 winner over Centerville when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Union Rockets fell just short of the Centerville Bulldogs by a score of 32-30 on Tuesday. While the Rockets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 11-5 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Union still got an impressive performance from Glory Ellis, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Ellis has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 17 times she's played. Kenzy Ogden was another key player, putting up eight points and ten rebounds.

Union has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Centerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Union has already played their next contest (against Daleville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Centerville has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Hagerstown.
