Soccer Game Preview: Hardin Valley Academy vs. Bearden

The Hardin Valley Academy Hawks will head out to take on the Bearden Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hardin Valley Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Hardin Valley Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Farragut, who was ranked 24th at the time (Hardin Valley Academy was ranked 12th). The Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Admirals on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Bearden hasn't lost a match since April 5th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They beat Maryville by a goal, winning 2-1. Bearden haven't had any issues with Maryville recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Bearden's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for Hardin Valley Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2-3.
