Volleyball Recap: Marissa Starts off Right with Win over Flora

Marissa had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Flora Wolves by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marissa took both sets by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-9.

Flora is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Marissa will challenge Zeigler-Royalton at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Flora, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against North Clay on the 13th.
