Soccer Game Preview: Coronado vs. Harrison

The Coronado Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Harrison Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Coronado's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Coronado's victory against Mesa Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Grizzlies 2-1. That's two games straight that Coronado have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in March, Harrison was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. They and Palmer finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw.

Harrison's goal came courtesy of Fernanda Gomez, who's now up to four this season.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-4. With that draw, Harrison's record moves to 6-6-2.

Coronado got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Harrison by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
