Recap: Creekside Seminoles vs. Tri-Cities Bulldogs
The Creekside Seminoles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Tri-Cities at home and fell 84-37. While losing is never fun, Creekside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while Tri-Cities is ranked 117th).
Creekside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ibrahim Sow, who scored six points, and Jamal Davies who scored five points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davies has scored all season.
Tri-Cities' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tre Keith led the charge by scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Keith has scored at least 25% of Tri-Cities' points. Another player making a difference was Shamori Alcindor, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Creekside's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Tri-Cities, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Creekside will head out on the road to face off against Midtown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-Cities, they will be playing at home against Mays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mays focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
