Soccer Recap: Greenville Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Greenville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Salem Wildcats. Tinley Walker had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Greenville.

Greenville's lineup was just a bit different on Wednesday as Kate Turley got a bit more time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 54.2). Turley made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Greenville pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those eight matches. As for Salem, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Greenville has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Maryville Christian on the 9th. Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
