Softball Recap: Crittenden County Comes Up Short

Crittenden County dropped their record down to 12-14 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Union County Braves by a score of 7-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-6 last Tuesday.

As for Union County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 21st.

For Union County's part, the team relied heavily on Aspen Davis, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Davis has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Crittenden County has already played their next game (against Ballard Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Union County, they will face off against Webster County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
