Soccer Game Preview: East Valley vs. Northridge Academy

The East Valley Falcons will head out to take on the Northridge Academy Pumas at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. East Valley is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Northridge Academy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when East Valley really get things going. East Valley put the hurt on Vaughn with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Falcons have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gabriel Arvizu and Manuel Garcia scored all three of East Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Northridge Academy had just enough and edged Sherman Oaks CES out 3-2 on Thursday.

Northridge Academy's record is now 8-4-2. As for East Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.

East Valley came up short against Northridge Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 3-1. Can East Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
