Basketball Game Preview: DuQuoin Indians vs. Pinckneyville Panthers

DuQuoin is 1-9 against Pinckneyville since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The DuQuoin Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Pinckneyville Panthers at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, DuQuoin came up short against Benton and fell 57-44. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Rangers are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Pinckneyville beat Mater Dei 62-52 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Pinckneyville's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for DuQuoin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

DuQuoin might still be hurting after the 56-36 loss they got from Pinckneyville in their previous matchup back in February. Can DuQuoin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
