Basketball Game Preview: Oxon Hill Clippers vs. Friendly Patriots

Oxon Hill has gone 9-1 against Friendly recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Oxon Hill Clippers will welcome the Friendly Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Oxon Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Friendly likes a good challenge.

Oxon Hill is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Fairmont Heights just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The loss put an end to the Clippers' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the defeat, Oxon Hill got top-tier performance from William Johns, who posted 24 points. The game was Johns' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cole Scott, who had 13 points.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Friendly, as they earned their first road win of the season. They slipped by Central 51-50 on Thursday.

Friendly's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Oxon Hill, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.

Everything came up roses for Oxon Hill against Friendly in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 71-44 victory. Will Oxon Hill repeat their success, or does Friendly have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
