Recap: Cascade Cadets vs. Northview Knights
The Cascade Cadets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Northview by a score of 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Cascade has suffered yet this season.
Several Cadets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylee Austin, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Hall, who scored 11 points.
Brynlee Clarke continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northview, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Clarke has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Carlee Schrader, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Cascade's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-10. As for Northview, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
Cascade will head out on the road to challenge Cloverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cloverdale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Northview, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Putnam at 6:00 p.m. South Putnam will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Northview is ranked 104th).
