Basketball Recap: Belleville West Comes Up Short

Belleville West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 45-38 to the O'Fallon Panthers. The Maroons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 57-50.

Belleville West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for O'Fallon, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-12.

Belleville West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-56 loss against Marian Catholic on the 18th. O'Fallon has also already played their next contest, a 49-43 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 18th.
