Softball Game Preview: Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets vs. Ottawa Hills Green Bears

The Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets will challenge the Ottawa Hills Green Bears at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cory-Rawson is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Cory-Rawson fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Spencerville on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 6-5.

Addyson Duffman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Morgan McVetta was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Ottawa Hills earned a 21-17 victory over Bowsher on Wednesday.

Ottawa Hills has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Cory-Rawson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
