Helena has gone 9-0-1 against Calera recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Huskies will challenge the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Helena will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Saturday, then bounced right back against Hueytown on Tuesday. The Huskies never let the Golden Gophers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Madeleine Blumstein was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calera). They blew past Shelby County 11-1 on Wednesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Calera's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Shelby County are ranked 167th).

Helena is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 74 goals over those nine games. As for Calera, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4-1.

Helena took their win against Calera in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
