Grosse Pointe South put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over the L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Blue Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Crusaders are ranked 319th).

Grosse Pointe South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Rouleau out in front who rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 134 yards while completing 80% of his passes. Another back making a difference was Charlie Michelotti, who rushed for 66 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.

Another reason for the win was Grosse Pointe South's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. L'Anse Creuse North's QB won't forget Throop Linnell anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Linnell is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Grosse Pointe South's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for L'Anse Creuse North, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
