Basketball Recap: Donovan Dickens Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Prince George's Christian Academy

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Greenfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top against the Prince George's Christian Academy Flyers by a score of 80-68.

Greenfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Donovan Dickens out in front who shot 47% from the field en route to 24 points and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Dickens now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Braxten Dubose, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds.

Greenfield's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.0 points over those games. As for Prince George's Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Greenfield will challenge Mount Zion Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prince George's Christian Academy, they will face off against Redemption Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Redemption Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
