The McMinn Central Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Fleming Island Golden Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. McMinn Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

McMinn Central is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Mosley, falling 9-2.

McMinn Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Hammond, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Fleming Island can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They skirted past Silverdale Academy 2-0.

The result came thanks to Caden Swartz's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Fleming Island's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for McMinn Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
