A well-balanced attack led Piedmont over South Stanly in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Panthers blew the Rowdy Rebel Bulls out of the water with a 67-31 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-17.

Piedmont found their leader in sophomore Emily Lundquist, who posted 16 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Lundquist is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Tara Deese was another key player, putting up ten points.

Piedmont was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Stanly only posted two.

Despite the loss, South Stanly had strong showings from Piper Huneycutt, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds, and Kanija Colson, who earned five points and 12 boards.

As for South Stanly, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Central Academy of Technology & Arts at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
