Softball Recap: Groveton Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Groveton entered their tilt with West Sabine on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 13-0 shutout. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

Groveton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for West Sabine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-7.

Looking ahead, Groveton will head out to take on Corrigan-Camden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Groveton 3.3, Corrigan-Camden 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for West Sabine, they will square off against Hemphill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
