Softball Recap: Griffith's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Griffith can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They skirted past the South Central Satellites 3-2.

Brylie Bridges spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 15 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Natalie Vianello, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Griffith's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for South Central, their record now sits at 7-3-1.

Looking ahead, Griffith will be taking part in a tournament against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers are facing the Cadets at the right time seeing as the Cadets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for South Central, they will host Boone Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Satellites have won 11 straight at home dating back to last season, while the Wolves won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
