Basketball Game Preview: Marcus Marauders vs. Hebron Hawks

Marcus hasn't had much luck against Hebron recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Marcus Marauders will be playing at home against the Hebron Hawks at 5:45 p.m. Marcus will be strutting in after a victory while Hebron will be coming in after a loss.

Marcus is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lewisville 82-44 on Tuesday. Given the Marauders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Farmers are ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hebron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 43-26 bruising from Coppell. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Marcus now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Hebron, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

Marcus didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hebron in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 55-49 win. Will Marcus repeat their success, or does Hebron have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
