Western is a perfect 7-0 against Eastern since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will face off against the Comets at 6:00 p.m. Western's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Eastern's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Western proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past McCutcheon 8-7.

Meanwhile, Eastern owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They blew past Maconaquah 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Eastern is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Western, their record is now 15-1.

Western came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastern when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
