Baseball Recap: Southwest Dragons vs. Winn Mavericks
Southwest hadn't done well against Winn recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Dragons walked away with a 7-3 win over the Mavericks. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jeiden Alfaro and Raul Zuniga made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Alfaro tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Meanwhile, Zuniga tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Alfaro went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Zuniga went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Zuniga has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Joaquin Zamora was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was David Samudio, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Southwest's win bumped their record up to 16-5-1. As for Winn, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
