Softball Recap: Pike County Comes Up Short

If Pike County was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of Russell County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 6-3 to the New Brockton Gamecocks on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gamecocks earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Pike County's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for New Brockton, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-21.

Looking ahead, Pike County will welcome Eufaula at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Brockton, they will head out on the road to square off against Zion Chapel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
