Soccer Recap: Glendale Takes a Loss

Glendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rock Bridge Bruins. While losing is never fun, Glendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Rock Bridge are ranked 21st).

Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Rock Bridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glendale will host Springfield Catholic at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Rock Bridge, they will challenge Smith-Cotton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
