Basketball Recap: Goshen Central Comes Up Short

Goshen Central lost against Cornwall Central back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The contest between the Goshen Central Gladiators and the Cornwall Central Dragons didn't end well, with the Goshen Central Gladiators falling 75-60. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Dragons are ranked 139th).

Goshen Central now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Cornwall Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

The future could be bright for both Goshen Central and Cornwall Central: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Goshen Central will try to hand Monticello their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Cornwall Central will look to extend Warwick's three-game losing streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
