Softball Game Preview: Ahoskie Christian vs. Gramercy Christian Warriors

Ahoskie Christian will head out on the road to challenge the Gramercy Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ahoskie Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Ahoskie Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Eastern Christian HomeSchool on Saturday. Ahoskie Christian fell just short of Eastern Christian HomeSchool by a score of 6-5. Ahoskie Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Casey Piland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Kinsley Dunlow made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Lilli Farmer was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Gramercy Christian fell victim to New Bern Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against New Bern Christian Academy, falling 17-0.

Ahoskie Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Gramercy Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
