 The Northeastern Bobcats will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against the Central York Panthers at 4:00  p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 Last Tuesday,  everything went Northeastern's way against Kennard-Dale as Northeastern made off with  a  12-5 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Northeastern.
 Meanwhile, in what's become a running theme this season, Central York gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Tuesday. They never let Spring Grove onto the board and left with  a   17-0  win.
  Bailey Daughenbaugh looked comfortable as she  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Madison Craig was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.  Brooklyn Shaffer was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  runs.
 Northeastern's victory was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 2-1. As for Central York,  the  win  got them back to even at 3-3.
 Northeastern came up short against Central York in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023, falling  5-1. Thankfully for Northeastern,  Ava Beamesderfer (who   struck out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits) won't be suiting up this time.
