Basketball Recap: Abram Bell Key Part of a Team Effort in Wildcats Win

Wink won the last time they faced Compass Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wink Wildcats walked away with a 62-52 win over Compass Academy.

Wink's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abram Bell, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Tally, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Wink has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Compass Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wink Wildcats face off against the Klondike Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Wink is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season. As for Compass Academy, they will head out to challenge Midland Classical Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
