Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Verde Valley). They walked away with a 43-34 win over the Paradise Valley Christian Prep Panthers on Thursday. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but the Coyotes were the better team in the second half.

Verde Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Peter Heller out in front who posted 14 points. Chaveyo Viafora was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The win made it two in a row for Verde Valley and bumps their season record up to 3-6. As for Paradise Valley Christian Prep, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Verde Valley will venture away from home to challenge Telesis Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Paradise Valley Christian Prep has already played their next game (against Thunderbird Adventist Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
