Basketball Game Preview: King Vikings vs. New York Military Academy Knights

The King Vikings will take on the New York Military Academy Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in King's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

King will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Rye Country Day, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. King had just enough and edged Rye Country Day out 55-52. The 55-point effort marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

King's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonovan Bracey, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aj Trimboli, who went 6 for 12 en route to 16 points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, New York Military Academy came up short against Storm King on Wednesday and fell 50-43. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

King has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for New York Military Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Everything went King's way against New York Military Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2015, as King made off with a 61-35 victory. In that game, King amassed a halftime lead of 61-35, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
