Volleyball Recap: Munster Comes Up Short

Munster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Michigan City Wolves. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Munster actually scored more points across those five sets (101-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 15-25, 20-25, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Munster still got an impressive performance from Paul Harkenrider, who had 26 assists and 11 digs. Harkenrider is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 26 every time he's taken the court this season.

Munster's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Michigan City, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Munster has already played their next contest (against La Porte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Michigan City, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Lake Central on the 7th.
